ACADEMIC
The academic committee works to promote the academic success of all members. Weekly library study rooms are held to encourage routine studying, in addition to study rooms held during midterms and finals to help members prepare for their exams. A tutoring network is also in place for members to help one another in various subjects and classes.
ALUMNI
The alumni committee works with the VP of alumni to prepare Family Dinner, facilitate active and alumni communication and events and maintain a resourceful and in depth alumni database.
BROTHERHOOD
The brotherhood committee is actively involved in bringing the active chapter closer on personal and professional levels as well as providing opportunities to foster and cultivate new relationships among brothers. From casual events to retreats, the committee strives to enhance each brother’s experience in AKPsi.
FUNDRAISING
Alpha Kappa Psi is dedicated to giving back to our community. Fundraising with our chapter involves planning engaging and exciting events to encourage chapter involvement in order to raise money for our philanthropy, the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
MARKETING
The marketing committee is focused on raising chapter awareness on campus. It assists with rush and is responsible for dorm storming, chalking and using members’ creative abilities to create marketing materials.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The professional development committee is responsible for planning informative, interactive, and experiential events for the purpose of increasing the professional knowledge of the active members. Additionally, the professional development committee seeks to provide opportunities for building and refining each member’s professional skill set as they strive for success in their respective careers and future endeavors.
SERVICE
The service committee is focused on giving back to our surrounding communities. Through volunteer opportunities and partnering with established charitable organizations, we hope to emphasize the importance of hard work and compassion while also igniting change.
SOCIAL
tHE social committee organizes exciting and interesting events both on an off campus. They focus on activities that allow brothers to socialize and get to know each other in fun and stress-free environments. Some of the events include concerts, sports games, dinners and date party.
SPECIAL EVENTS
The special events committee puts on two of our fraterity’s biggest events. One is a formal, social event usually at an off campus venue. The other is a nostalgic commencement to recognize the graduating seniors. The committee offers the opportunity to be involved in planning events that the entire chapter looks forward to each semester.
